Moss
Moss grows in variety, complexity and beauty along tree roots, rocks and the forest floor. Its color and texture harmonize into a kaleidoscope of life that inspires us to create lush, vibrant moss artwork. There are many benefits to preserved moss and plants, making it one of our favorite options for creating everlasting art that evokes a true sense of biophilia.
Benefits of Moss Walls
What is preserved moss?
Preserved moss and plants are real plants harvested sustainably from the Earth; they are the artistic result of a unique process of plant preservation. The natural water and sap within the plant is replaced with an organic solvent that preserves the plants’ aesthetic, texture and biophilic effect for many years. These are natural elements frozen in time through meticulous artistic, organic processes. Preserved moss and plants do not require any soil, water or sunlight to keep their vibrancy and texture.
100% Ecological & Biodegradable
Mosses and plant leaves are collected during their best moment of their life cycle. After careful selection, only premium quality plants pass into a stabilization room. A micro climate is then recreated finding the perfect balance between humidity, heat and light where conditions are constantly monitored. The plants are placed submerged into a vegetable derivative, water and sometimes food coloring. During this process, the lymph of the plant evaporates and it is replaced by this new mixture. In the end, the plants are rinsed thoroughly and hanged to dry.
No Water, Soil or Light Required
Treat your moss as a piece of art. There are no care requirements other than occasional dusting and slight touch ups which are only needed if people touch or pull at the moss aggressively or often. Overall, these pieces should exist over time as no maintenance pieces of vibrant natural art.

Our Nature Design Mantra:
We walk through the forest to study the earth. Patterns of growth seem random yet repetitive in the way that only nature can achieve. We spend hours staring into these systems, learning how they grow in the hopes of recreating a connected expression of the outoors into the indoor world.
We only utilize sustainably collected and organically preserved elements for ecological purposes. We believe that nature should be revered and celebrated in our everyday lives.
FAQs
How does the ordering process work?
Essentially it works in three phases - design, build and grow. We flow through each phase in a turnkey, yet detail-oriented fashion to ensure your piece is your own little piece of serene nature.
How long will my moss art last?
Your pieces should last in perpetuity, but what will keep them looking their best is no touching, moisture or excessive sunlight. We offer repair kits on an as-needed basis for $150.
Where can I install my moss piece?
Moss art is ideal for indoor settings. It’s lasts longest when not exposed to excessive sunlight or humidity. Anywhere you’d hang a beautiful painting, you can have moss art.
How do I care for my moss piece?
Preserved plants are completely natural. However, to ensure their freshness and best life duration, we recommend the following:
Do not expose for a long time to direct sunlight. Since UV light may cause color degradation, sun exposure requires UV Controlled Windows or Window Films
Avoid displaying close to heat emitting lights (2 ft)
Do not irrigate, vaporize or clean with water. Avoid spraying and washing with water or any other liquid
Indoors only at normal room temperature 60-85°F
Maintain a humidity level no higher than 75%
Hair blower or low-speed leaf blower is recommended for dusting every 8-12 months or as needed
